Robert received his Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University, where he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. After earning his medical degree from the University of Arizona, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, he completed his internship at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Phoenix and his ophthalmology residency at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Bullington then completed Cornea and External Disease Fellowship training at the University of Texas at Houston. Dr. Bullington's practice focus is general ophthalmology with an emphasis on cataract surgery and the medical and surgical treatment of corneal disease.
During his time in private practice, Dr. Bullington has helped train residents from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, the Will’s Eye Hospital in Philadelphia, and Washington University in St. Louis. He also enjoys serving as a preceptor for medical students from a variety of different schools. Selected numerous times as a Top Doc in Phoenix Magazine, he has served as President of the Phoenix Ophthalmological Society, and is currently the Associate Ocular Medical Director of the Donor Network of Arizona. Dr. Bullington and his wife have three children. He has a number of hobbies, but particularly enjoys tennis and golf.
